... A woman can only marry once in the mormon temple. If her temple husband dies, a widow can never marry another man in the temple.
... Now, the rules get more unreasonable: I married someone else in a civil marriage, years later, but not in a mormon temple ceremony. According to mormon rules, our children are sealed (owned by) my wife-batterer first husband, and not their own father! My mormon in-laws did not consider them to be their real grandchildren, even though they were by blood. We won’t get into how the mormon church separates families when it advertises it brings families together. This is a cult based on lies. It is a precept of the Church that women of the Church share the authority of the priesthood with their husbands, actual or prospective; and therefore women, whether taking the endowment for themselves or for the dead, are not ordained to specific rank in the priesthood. Nevertheless, there is no grade, rank, or phase of the temple endowment to which women are not eligible on an equality with man. James E Talmage, The House of the Lord p94
Thus we see that in marriage, a husband and wife enter into an order of the priesthood called the new and everlasting covenant of marriage. This covenant includes a willingness to have children and to teach them the gospel. Many problems of the world today are brought about when parents do not accept the responsibilities of this covenant. It is contradictory to this covenant to prevent the birth of children if the parents are in good health. J Ballard Washburn, The Temple is a Family Affair, Ensign May 1995
The most she can hope for is to become one of a similar Celestial harem.
While God allows his sons to use his power, his daughters are not qualified, not for lack of intelligence or compassion or wisdom or ability, but for lack of physiology.
She must submit to her male priesthood leaders, including her husband, with meekness and without questioning, no matter how stupid and pathetic and wrong they are.
Her soul’s entire worth is contained in her physiology, and contingent upon her status as some man’s wife and her ability to make babies. Nothing is more important. That is her divine role. Thus, she can’t be truly happy doing anything else.
Her feminine body is Satan’s tool of temptation. Therefore, she must hide the fact that she is woman, because if men lust after her, it is her fault.
It is her duty to have sex with her husband, even and especially when he’s treating her like crap. She must always be unselfish and put his needs ahead of her own ...
If she pursues here own desires, pleasures and dreams, she is selfish. jacyn, board post 6th March 2009, ‘How to Suffocate a Woman’s Soul and Kill Her Dignity’
In the car on the way back to school, she told me her story. They had dated for three years, then she was ready to get married but he wasn’t ready yet. So she dated other people and found a guy to marry. She had thought about waiting for this young man until he was ready to get married, but didn’t know if he would actually decide to marry her when he was ready to marry. Then came the comment that just about did me in. She said that looking at both of these guys, she chose the guy she eventually married because he would be able to get her closer to the celestial kingdom than the young man she dated for three years and loved! She didn’t have the same feelings for her husband as she did for her old boyfriend, but by golly she was sure to get closer to the celestial kingdom! Her heart was still hurting.
