They came across different platforms made out of wood especially out of oak, and the deeper they dug they also came across a mat made of coconut fibre, and they came across a stone slab that had very bizarre writing on it.  Giorgio A Tsoukalos, publisher Legendary Times Magazine

There is a possibility that the Ark of the Covenant with its contents has been hidden on Oak Island.  Giorgio A Tsoukalos

Beneath a strange old oak tree the search began: In 1795 three boys found a deep pit built a century before.  They were convinced it held something of immense value.  The clues uncovered were so tantalising that men have been digging ever since.  Today, two centuries later, the search continues for the buried treasure of Oak Island.  In Search of s3e16 … The Money Pit Mystery, 1979

One of the world’s most elaborate treasure hunts is presently underway on Oak Island off the east coast of Canada.  In the 1600s the waters of Nova Scotia were a haven for pirates eluding British and Spanish pursuit.  ibid.

As early as 1720 strange lights have been seen at night on the island’s coast.  Two fishermen who went out to investigate vanished.  ibid.

In the autumn of 1898 on a modest farm in Kensington, Minnesota, a Swedish immigrant named Olof Ohman was clearing trees from his farm with the help of his sons.  After brushing away the soil they noticed carvings on two sides of the stone: strange symbols no-one could read that resembled old Swedish runes.  Holy Grail in America, Channel 5 2009

The idea that the Knights Templar could have reached America is explosive and controversial.  But the Templar story is riddled with the strange and unbelievable ... With their empire in Europe facing ruin, the Templars may have planned to rebuild what they called the New Jerusalem outside the realm of the Church.  ibid.

Could that island be Oak Island?  Rumoured for hundreds of years to be the site of a fabulous treasure hoard, Oak Island sits off the southern shore of Nova Scotia.  ibid.

In 1795 three boys were digging when they came across a man-made shaft layered every ten feet with oak planks and coconut fibre.  The stone told of a treasure thirty feet further down, but thirty feet down was a booby-trap ... The original shaft has been dubbed the Money Pit because so many investors have sunk money into its excavation without success.  ibid.

The hooked X ... Evidence also connects it to the Templars by inclusion with Rosslyn Chapel, built by the Sinclairs.  It’s on the East Coast Rune-stone.  The Kensington Stone.  And Columbus’s signature.  A single symbol that ties everything together.  And links it all to the Templars and the Freemasons.  ibid.

The Oak Island treasure pit legend began in 1795 ... Some three metres down there was no treasure but a kind of wooden platform.  They removed it and kept digging.  Only to find another wooden platform nine metres below the surface.  New excavations began later in 1803.   Around every three metres the treasure hunters hit a platform of wooden beams ... Twenty-eight metres down they hit a mysterious stone.  The purpose of the so-called Warning Stone became clear: it appeared to mark a boundary.  Digging beyond it, workers found themselves engulfed by water flooding into the pit.  Templars Lost Treasure, National Geographic 2013

Oak Island is now privately owned.  Excavations continue but so far no treasure has emerged from the enigmatic tidal pit.  ibid.

In 1795 three Nova Scotia farm boys set out to explore nearby Oak Island after witnessing strange green lights coming from its shore in the middle of the night.  The initial excavation stopped at a depth of 30 feet.  But since that time over a dozen professional excavations have been attempted.  Ancient Aliens s1e4: Close Encounters, History 2010

But who or what constructed this elaborately designed pit?  And perhaps more importantly what if anything lies hidden at the bottom?  ibid.

Oak Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, 2017: Rick and Marty Lagina return to the land they purchased here 10 years ago in an effort to solve a centuries-old mystery, one that began in 1795 when three Nova Scotia farm boys set out to explore the island after witnessing strange lights coming from its shore in the middle of the night.  According to its legendary curse, 7 men must die before the island will reveal its treasure that lies buried deep beneath its surface.  Ancient Aliens: The Pharaohs’ Curse, archaeologist, History 2017

There is an island in the North Atlantic where people have been looking for an incredible treasure for more than 200 years.  To date, six men have died trying to solve the mystery.  And according to legend, one more will have to die before the treasure can be found.  The UnXplained with William Shatner s1e9: The Oak Island Curse, History 2020

In February 2013 brothers Rick and Marty Lagina travel from Michigan to an island in the north Atlantic in an attempt to solve a 200-year-old mystery.  The Curse of Oak Island s1e1: What Lies Below, History 2014

The mystery began in 1795 when three men discovered a strange indentation in the soil, which when excavated revealed fragments of gold chain, a small piece of paper with writing on it, and a large stone slab with curious codes and symbols carved into it.  Nicknamed the Money Pit, the strange hole was eventually excavated by treasure hunters to a depth of ninety feet when one of them hit a booby trap which flooded the shaft with seawater.  The Curse of Oak Island s1e2: The Mystery of Smith’s Cove

Smith’s Cove has long been thought to be connected to the Oak Island mystery.  ibid.

So far they have uncovered tunnels, booby-traps and carved stones with strange symbols.  The Curse of Oak Island s1e3: Voices from the Grave

Since the original money pit was discovered on the island in 1795 six men have died violently while searching for treasure.  ibid.

‘You believe that the Menorah from the Temple of Solomon could be buried on Oak Island?’  The Curse of Oak Island s1e4: The Secrets of Solomon’s Temple

Theorists believe that the Knights Templar rescued priceless religious artefacts from the Temple in Jerusalem.  ibid.

Located in the centre of the island the strange triangular-shaped swamp is thought to have been man-made, but why?  The Curse of Oak Island s1e5: The Find

Will the strange copper object found in the swamp prove to be an authentic seventeenth-century Spanish coin?  ibid.

For years treasure hunters believed the islands off the coast of Nova Scotia were a haven for Spanish and Portuguese pirates.  The Curse of Oak Island s2e1: Once In Forever In

Brothers Rick and Marty Lagina are about to take on their most difficult and expensive challenge yet: they have decided to locate and hopefully excavate Oak Island’s notorious treasure vault known as the Money Pit.  But first they have to find it.  The Curse of Oak Island s2e2: Return to the Money Pit

A week ago the cousins [Pulitzer & Raiford] came to Oak Island armed with Hutton’s theory that the Oak Island mystery involved treasure taken from King Solomon’s temple.  The Curse of Oak Island s2e3: The Eight-Pointed Star

There are some historians who believe their [Phoenicians] knowledge of the sea may have enabled them to sail all the way across the Atlantic ocean.  ibid.

Look into every lead and explore every theory.  The Curse of Oak Island s2e4: The Breakthrough

The Money Pit: This legendary so-called treasure site has been dug up and filled in over a dozen time in the last two-hundred years.  ibid.

So far they have uncovered booby-trapped flood tunnels, carved stones with strange symbols, seventeenth-century Spanish coins, and evidence of a mysterious wooden vault covered in concrete.  The Curse of Oak Island s2e5: The 90-Foot Stone

Known as the 90-foot stone because of the depth at which it was discovered, the strange stone slab contained numerous carved symbols.  ibid.

There are many Oak Island researchers who believe there are strong connections between the Oak Island mystery and the ancient fraternity of builders known as the Freemasons.  ibid.

The team obtained two core samples … [that] match the historical description of a mysterious seven-foot-tall wooden vault first reported by treasure hunter William Chappell in 1897.  The Curse of Oak Island s2e6: Seven Must Dye

The key to shutting off the water and getting to the Money Pit may be found hidden in the Oak Island swamp.  The Curse of Oak Island s2e7: Trail of the Templars

According to McGowan and Butler the Oak Island Money Pit was constructed by Freemasons some time in the 15th century and was intended to be an exact copy of what they called the Enochian Chambers.  The Curse of Oak Island s2e8: X Marks the Spot

The swamp is filling up just as soon as the pumps can drain it.  ibid.

Located 180 feet away from the Money Pit, 10X was dug in the 1970s … 10X also flooded.  ibid.

They will send two divers down to the bottom of borehole 10X … an extremely dangerous task.  The Curse of Oak Island s2e9: Dangerous Dive

10X began as a 27-inch-wide shaft that eventually reached the staggering depth of 235 feet.  But in 1976 after a cave-in that nearly almost killed him, Dan Blankenship widened the hole to 8 feet in diameter.  The Curse of Oak Island s2e10: Big Reveal

The conditions in 10X are just too dangerous right now to continue the dive safely; the dive is being aborted.  ibid.
