Among the losers that year was Yolanda Washington – a street walker and single mother, raped by two men and strangled in the back of a car. The jury decided that Buono should not receive the death sentence. ibid.

The press named the killer the Hillside Strangler. ibid.
In the autumn of 1979 Ken Bianchi was in custody, the prime suspect in the Hillside Strangler cases in Los Angeles as well as two killings in Washington State. LA police had concluded that two people had worked together to commit ten murders in four months. And they had reason to believe that Bianchi’s cousin Angelo Buono was the accomplice. ibid.
Buono ... was also a sexual sadist. ibid.
The police even investigated Bianchi as a suspect in a string of unsolved cases in Rochester – they were called the Alphabet murders. ibid.
On October 19th the police arrested Angelo Buono; he was charged with ten counts of first degree murder. His trial began on November 16th 1981 and lasted two years and two days. It was one of the longest murder trials in American history. ibid.

13th November 1977 Los Angeles, USA: Schoolgirls Delores and Sonia were on their way home from a day’s shopping when two police officers stopped them for questioning, but the so-called policemen were in fact killers. 14-year-old Sonia and 12-year-old Delores were abducted, held captive for five days, repeatedly raped then strangled.
