Rena Salmon, who calmly dropped her kids off at school – before going to confront her – husband’s lover Lorna Stewart, has impressed prison staff by showing remorse for the killing.
When confronted by Salmon in 2002, victim Lorna asked her: ‘So have you come to shoot me?’ Salmon replied ‘yes’ and blasted her with a shotgun at her former friend’s salon in Chiswick, West London.
Now 52, she is expected to be granted a move at a parole hearing next month after therapy sessions in jail. A transfer from Send Prison in Surrey would be a first step towards release and would allow her out on day-release. Daily Mirror online article 21st August 2011
