An infamous paedophile and murderer attempted one last cruel act against the families of his victims by trying to keep his death a secret, it has emerged.
Evil Ronald Jebson died in hospital ten days ago after serving three life sentences for killing three children.
The 76-year-old was found guilty of the so-called ‘Babes in the Woods’ murders of Susan Blatchford, 11, and Gary Hanlon, 12, in 1970.
He was also doing time for the murder of eight-year-old Rosemary Papper in 1974.
Jebson carried out the ‘Babes in the Wood’ killings after snatching the two children from their homes in Enfield, north London.
The pair were found in woodland in Epping Forest, Essex, in March 1970.
The case remained unsolved until 2000 when Jebson – who was already in jail for the killing of Rosemary, the daughter of his former landlord – confessed to them.
However Jebson, who had reverted to his birth name Ronald Harper at HMP Frankland, wanted to keep his death under wraps.
A source told The Sun: ‘He was bitter and twisted and did not want people to have the satisfaction and relief of knowing he was dead.’ Express online article April 2015, ‘One last cruel act … Evil ‘Babes in the Wood’ murderer wanted to keep death secret’
