Reader and Perkins pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary and were sentenced to six years three months and seven years imprisonment respectively. Jones and Collins also got seven years. Wood pleaded not guilty, but was convicted and got six. The court ruled that property worth around £14 was stolen in the raid, nearly £10m of which had not been recovered. After evading capture for three years, ‘Basil’ was eventually arrested in March 2018. At his trial Michael Seed denied being the elusive final gang member, but he was found guilty and got ten years.
