★ Republicans & Republican Party

On the issue of Republican versus Democrat: what is it they don’t get?  And I say: look, here’s the way you get it.  Its organized crime – all you do is call the Republicans the Genoveses and the Democrats the Gambinos.  Michael C Ruppert

The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn.  The Republicans are the party that says government doesn’t work and then they get elected and prove it.  P J O’Rourke

In the US there is basically one party – the business party.  It has two factions, called Democrats and Republicans, which are somewhat different but carry out variations on the same policies.  By and large, I am opposed to those policies.  As is most of the population.  Noam Chomsky

100% agreement on the part of the political party that controls Congress that either it’s not happening or we don’t do anything about it: we should not regulate emissions, so in short let’s race to the precipice as quick as we can.  Noam Chomsky, lecture 2016, ‘After the Electoral Extravaganza

The most dangerous organisation in human history  literally.  ibid.

Has there ever been an organisation in human history that is dedicated with such commitment to the destruction of organised human life on Earth?  Noam Chomsky, with Amy Goodman at Harvard Book Store 2017 discussing Inequality, Youtube 1.21.00

Paul Ryan and his associates behind the scenes are systematically and carefully dismantling every element of government that is of any benefit to people and that doesn’t maximise corporate power and profit.  ibid.

The Republicans some time ago abandoned any pretense of being a normal parliamentary party: they are just dedicated lockstep with a kind of catechism that everyone has to repeat towards service to the super-rich and the corporate sector.  Noam Chomsky, lecture University of Massachusetts at Amherst 27 September 2012, ‘Who Owns the World? Resistance and Ways Forward

The drift of both political parties to the right  the Republicans by now off the spectrum of traditional politics  that’s an aspect of the neoliberal assault, it’s turning the United States into a plutocracy.  Noam Chomsky, lecture 8th July 2017, ‘The Corporatization of the Universities, Youtube 1.39.35

The Republicans are way off the spectrum.  They are in international comparisons, they are compared with the parties in Europe with neo-fascist backgrounds.  Issues like the climate they’re the worst in the world.  They want the Trump administration to race towards maximising the use of fossil fuels, eliminating the regulatory system which reduces somewhat their destructive effect on the climate, on the population perfectly open about this.  Noam Chomsky, interview Going Underground, RT September 2020

Both parties shifted to the right as everywhere in the world, and the Republicans just went off the spectrum.  Noam Chomsky, interview Abby Martin: The Empire Files, ‘The Empire’s Election Extravaganza’, Youtube 2015

If the Republicans will stop telling lies about the Democrats, we will stop telling the truth about them.  Adlai E Stevenson

We are Republicans and don’t propose to leave our party and identify ourselves with the part whose antecedents are rum, Romanism and rebellion.  Samuel Dickinson Burchard

The Neo-Conservatives set out to reform America.  And at the heart of their project was the political use of religion.  Together with their long-term allies, the religious right, they began a campaign to bring moral and religious issues back into the centre of conservative politics.  Adam Curtis, The Power of Nightmares II: The Phantom Victory

For the Neo-Conservatives religion was a myth … Strauss had taught that these myths were necessary to give ordinary people meaning and purpose and do ensure a stable society.  ibid.

Out of this [Neo-Conservative] campaign a new and powerful moral agenda began to take over the Republican Party.  It reached a dramatic climax with the Republican Convention in 1992 when the religious right seized control of the Party’s policy making machinery.  George Bush became committed to run for President with policies that would ban abortion, gay rights and multiculturalism.  ibid.

Instead of delivering dreams, politicians now promise to protect us from nightmares.  They say that they will rescue us from terrible dangers that we cannot see and do not understand.  And the greatest danger of all is international terrorism ... But much of this threat is a fantasy which has been exaggerated and distorted by politicians.  It’s a dark illusion that has spread unquestioned through governments around the world, the security services and the international media.  This is a series of films about how and why that fantasy was created and who it benefits.  Adam Curtis, The Power of Nightmares III: The Shadows in the Cave

Republicans approve of the American farmer, but they are willing to help him go broke.  They stand four-square for the American home – but not for housing.  They are strong for labor – but they are stronger for restricting labor’s rights.  They favor minimum wage – the smaller the minimum wage the better.  They endorse educational opportunity for all – but they won’t spend money for teachers or for schools.  They think modern medical care and hospitals are fine – for people who can afford them.  They consider electrical power a great blessing – but only when the private power companies get their rake-off.  They think American standard of living is a fine thing – so long as it doesn’t spread to all the people.  And they admire of Government of the United States so much that they would like to buy it.  Harry S Truman

Republicans stand for raw, unbridled evil and greed and ignorance smothered in balloons and ribbons.  Frank Zappa

Republicans are men of narrow vision, who are afraid of the future.  Jimmy Carter

Historically, this five-pointed star was man, it meant man, meant man, it was a good thing … the upside-down five-pointed start with the goat was the sign of satan-worshippers … Around the year 2000 the Republican party changed their logo from the stars being right up to the stars being upside down, coinciding with coming on the scene George Bush …  Welcome to Truth: Satanic New World Order Illuminati Conspiracy, Youtube

‘Both the Republican and Democracy parties are owned by the same global elites.’  Dr Robert Bowman, Globalist Conspiracy Plans for the New World Order, Youtube

If I were to run, I’d run as a Republican.  They’re the dumbest group of voters in the country.  They believe anything on Fox News.  I could lie and they’d still eat it up.  I bet my numbers would be terrific.  Donald Trump, article People magazine
